Edvard Munch and Paula Modersohn-Becker Exhibition at Albertinum Dresden Explores Life's Big Questions

From February 8 to May 31, the Albertinum in Dresden will showcase "Paula Modersohn-Becker and Edvard Munch. The Great Questions of Life," a collaboration with the Munch Museum. This exhibition displays over 150 pieces, including 75 by Paula Modersohn-Becker and 55 by Edvard Munch, with a focus on the years 1890-1907. Both artists, regarded as forerunners of modernity, emphasized humanity's bond with nature. The exhibition begins with Munch's "Self-Portrait on a Blue Sky" (1908) and Modersohn-Becker's "Self-Portrait with Amber Necklace" (1905), highlighting their landscapes and themes surrounding the cycles of life.
