Éditions Alternatives Publishes "Mahn Kloix, Entre les lignes" by Théophile Pillaut
"Mahn Kloix, Entre les lignes," authored by journalist Théophile Pillaut, has been published by Éditions Alternatives. This book reflects on a decade of the artist Mahn Kloix's creative endeavors, shaped by an activist upbringing and a focus on line, drawing from early 20th-century aesthetics of Germany and Russia. Kloix tackles modern themes such as ecology, feminism, LGBT rights, and the challenges faced by migrants through urban collages and large frescoes in Marseille and beyond. Kloix remarked, "C'est l'humain qui occupe toute mon action créative." This publication represents Pillaut's second partnership with Kloix, following their previous collaborations, including the Vas-y publishing project in 2011 and artist monographs for Skira. The release was announced through a press statement.
