EAU DE EAU: Water as Luxury Perfume Tackles Environmental Crisis in the Dolomites

exhibition · 2026-08-26

The artistic project EAU DE EAU, conceived by Max Papeschi and Arianna Bonucci, presents a luxury perfume bottle filled with ordinary water, topped with a golden Earth-shaped cap, to provoke thought on environmental crisis. After seven international exhibitions across the United States and Canada and over 12,000 kilometers of documentary research, the project has arrived at the Alpe di Siusi for a residency titled 'Dalle Rocky Mountains alle Dolomiti', hosted by Pure.Art Circle at the Paradiso Pure.Living Vegan Hotel in Castelrotto (Jochstrasse 17). Curated by Alisia Viola, Viola Ammenti, and Sara De Carlo, the project was born in 2025 and employs a minimalist, almost Dadaist gesture that packages water with the aesthetic codes of luxury, suggesting that in the near future water might be as valuable as exclusive rose or oud extracts. The residency marks a new chapter in the project's exploration of environmental themes through visual and conceptual juxtaposition.
