Ea Othilde Drops Indie Rock EP 'You'll leave the City'

Norwegian newcomer Ea Othilde, 21, has released a new EP titled 'You'll leave the City,' featuring five songs that blend indie rock with guitar-driven soundscapes. The project follows her debut album 'I will not be like that' from the previous year, which was nominated for the Norwegian Spellemann music award. The EP was written and recorded over two weeks in summer 2025, with Othilde describing the process as deeply personal, drawing inspiration from her life, emotions, films, and books. The Oslo-based artist joins a wave of Norwegian musicians like Aurora and Girl in Red who have gained attention for their unique voices and emotional lyrics. The EP captures the complex emotional world of a young adult in her early twenties.
