The Netherlands' embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, completed in 2005, represents a fusion of diplomatic ideology and architectural design. Created by architects Bjarne Mastenbroek and Dick van Gameren with Ethiopian architect Rahel Shawl, the structure integrates into its landscape with terracotta-colored concrete that mimics local rock churches.
