In a surprising turn of events, the Duchess of Edinburgh lent her voice to the BBC Radio 4 drama The Archers, recording her part in May at the Mailbox studios in Birmingham. Her segment was featured in an episode that aired on Thursday at 19:00 BST, where she portrayed herself as the honorary president of the charity Linking Environment And Farming (LEAF) at the fictional Borchester Show. Joining her were cast members Tim Bentnick (David Archer), David Troughton (Tony Archer), and Susie Riddell (Tracy Horrobin).
