Dua Lipa opens Manifesto Library at Livraria Lello in Porto

Pop star Dua Lipa has launched the Manifesto Library, a permanent physical space inside the historic Livraria Lello in Porto, Portugal. The library is an extension of her Service95 platform, which began as a newsletter in 2022 and has grown into an editorial hub featuring a book club, travel tips, and cultural recommendations. The Manifesto Library curates books that challenge power, resist censorship, and amplify marginalized voices. Initial selections include Olhos d’Água by Brazilian writer Conceição Evaristo. The space is curated in collaboration with the Service95 team and will expand over time with new picks from the Service95 Book Club. Dua Lipa has interviewed authors such as Olga Tokarczuk, Khaled Hosseini, Patti Smith, Hernan Diaz, Ocean Vuong, Douglas Stuart, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. The project marks a shift from online community to physical cultural space, following the tradition of celebrity book clubs started by Oprah Winfrey in 1996.
