DS No.7 Review: Gallic Luxury Finally Delivered
DS Automobiles has launched the DS No.7, which takes over from the DS 7 Crossback, highlighting its dedication to French luxury. This new model is 4.66m long, which is 7cm longer than the previous version, and features a bigger glazed roof and larger rear windows for a brighter cabin. It comes in 11 different configurations, including plug-in hybrids and electric versions. The Long Range BEV boasts a WLTP range of 740km (459 miles), while the PHEV offers up to 1,040km (646 miles). Charging is limited to 160W. Inside, it has a 14-speaker Focal sound system, Nappa leather, and a stylish aluminium dashboard. The exterior flaunts unique LED lights and a sharply defined rear. Pricing starts at £38,920 for the Hybrid Pallas, reaching £66,690 for the E-Tense AWD Long Range La Première edition. DS aims for a 22% share in the European premium car market, and while the vehicle is praised for its distinctiveness and elegance, the noticeable 'DS Automobiles' badge on the back is seen as a branding strategy.
