Drouot Hosts Childhood-Themed Day with PLAYMOBIL Auction and Free Activities
On September 26, the Hôtel Drouot in Paris will transform into a playground for a day-long event celebrating childhood, with a program spanning the 1970s to the 2000s. The event features vintage toys, miniature cars, board games, figurines, drawings, and cels from Japanese animation, alongside a first-ever auction dedicated to PLAYMOBIL. For the first time, the brand will reveal its archives in 300 lots, with all proceeds donated to the association CEKEDUBONHEUR. The auction and related displays will occupy three floors, showcasing iconic objects and images. Free activities for children include a treasure hunt from 11am to 1pm (no registration required), a PLAYMOBIL figure personalization station from 11am to 6pm in room 9 (no registration), and a role-playing workshop at 1:15pm and 3:30pm (registration required, 45 minutes), where children act as auctioneer, crier, or bidder. A chocolate-themed snack will be available at L'Adjugé throughout the day. The event is part of Drouot's new Saturday openings, aiming to make the auction house a place for discovery and exchange beyond auctions. Entry is free with reservation.
