Dresden State Art Collections Trainees Curate Exhibition on Seven Deadly Sins

Three trainees from the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, Isabella Bornberg, Julia Hosp, and Rebecca Schmidt, have put together an exhibition focused on the seven deadly sins. This project is part of their training at the Archiv der Avantgarden – Egidio Marzona. The show takes a fresh look at the concepts of pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth, exploring their origins in Christian teachings through a modern lens. As the influence of religion has evolved over the 20th and 21st centuries, the significance of these sins has shifted as well. The exhibition also sheds light on how deliberate mistakes impact our current lives.
