Draw Me a Face: Children's Drawings Become Playful Makeup Looks

Paris-based creative studio Buro Nōto, photographer Pierre-Emmanuel Testard, and makeup artist Tiziana Raimondo collaborated on 'Draw Me a Face,' a project that transforms children's drawings into makeup compositions. Instead of asking artists to create beauty looks, the team had children draw directly onto portraits, then translated their spontaneous sketches into fully realized makeup. The resulting portraits feature graphic shapes and vivid colors that defy conventional beauty standards. The project treats childhood as a creative methodology, prioritizing instinct over expertise. Creative direction was by Aurélie Joly and Buro Nōto, with hair by Marion Anee. Children involved include Nori, Mila, Jeanne, Billie, Simone, Raphaël Leor, Akiro, Romane, Daria, Hannah, and Jacques.
