Dorothy's Pop Love Blueprint Poster Maps 1,200 Pop Music Figures on a Cassette Player Circuit

Dorothy, a design studio based in the UK, has unveiled the Pop Love Blueprint, a metallic silver screen print that chronicles the history of pop music through the contributions of 1,200 musicians, bands, songwriters, and producers. This poster creatively maps these figures onto a circuit diagram resembling a 1980s portable cassette player, illustrating the genre's progression from the 1950s to today. It starts with early icons Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong, transitions through the 1960s with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, and highlights the glam rock of the 1970s with David Bowie and Elton John. The 1980s features Madonna and Whitney Houston alongside synth-pop acts like Depeche Mode and Gary Numan. Additionally, it showcases girl and boy bands such as The Supremes, Spice Girls, Destiny's Child, and One Direction, plus solo artists Britney Spears and Justin Bieber. Notable female pop figures like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift are positioned alongside emerging talents like Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo. The poster also includes Spanish-language stars such as Bad Bunny and K-pop sensation BTS. Copies can be purchased on the Dorothy website. This release follows the studio's earlier blueprint posters, which include a Rock and Roll Blueprint and a Chromatic Prince poster.
