Disney+ K-Drama 'The Remarried Empress' Sets Premiere Date, Drops Trailer
The K-drama adaptation of the popular webtoon 'The Remarried Empress' is set to debut on Disney+ and Hulu on November 4th. Featuring a cast that includes Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young, the series will kick off with four episodes, followed by the release of two new episodes every Wednesday until November 25th, culminating in a total of 10 episodes. The narrative, based on a Naver webtoon with nearly 3 billion views, centers on Empress Navier (Shin) as her marriage to Emperor Sovieshu (Ju) disintegrates due to his affection for runaway slave Rashta (Lee Se-young), leading to a divorce request. Navier consents, provided she can wed Heinrey (Lee Jong-suk), the crown prince of the Western Kingdom. Adapted by Yeoh Geena and Hyun Choong-yeol and directed by Cho Suwon, the series will have its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival's On Screen section, showcasing the first three episodes. The festival will take place from October 6 to 15. Additionally, Disney+ and Hulu have unveiled a new teaser trailer along with character posters.
