DIGI+ Dual Display Camera Offers Y2K Design and Selfie Screen for $50
Sourcenext has released the DIGI+ Dual Display Digital Camera DGP-DCM01 in Japan, priced at 7,980 yen ($50) and discounted to 5,980 yen ($37) until July 8. The 102-gram camera features a translucent body reminiscent of late-90s electronics, a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 3.64mm lens with a 75° field of view, and a 1.3-inch front display for selfies alongside a 2.4-inch rear screen. Its fixed front screen is unusual for low-cost cameras, though image quality is limited by the small sensor. The camera joins a trend of Y2K-inspired digital cameras, following Manual's Holo model launched last fall in New York City.
