Diane Burko's 'Extraction: A Dialogue of Extremes' Opens at Rowan University MCA

The 'Diane Burko: Extraction, A Dialogue of Extremes' multimedia exhibition will be showcased by the Rowan University Museum of Contemporary Art (RUMOCA) from August 24 to October 17, 2026, at 301 High Street W. This exhibition features both painting and sculpture, delving into environmental issues at the crossroads of art and scientific inquiry. An opening reception is set for Wednesday, September 16, from 5:00–7:00 p.m., with a panel discussion on art and science beginning at 4:00 p.m. This event is a partnership with the Arctic Radium Isotope Observing Network (ARION), a research initiative funded by the National Science Foundation, led by Dr. Lauren E. Kipp from Rowan University and Dr. Matt Charette from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
