Diana L. Roberts on Editing 'Contemporary Texas Sculpture' for TSG's 15th Anniversary

Diana L. Roberts, the editor of 'Contemporary Texas Sculpture: Artists of the Texas Sculpture Group,' reflects on the five-year journey of developing the 244-page book, which commemorates the organization's 15th anniversary. Scheduled for release in 2025, the publication showcases over 100 members of TSG, complete with biographical details, artist statements, and more than 600 images. Roberts, an independent arts writer and curator based in San Antonio, Texas, has collaborated extensively with local artists and institutions. The book was designed by Conan Chadbourne and printed by Lithopress in San Antonio. Significant contributions came from Craig and Kathryn Hall, whose generous donation enabled the project, and James Surls, who wrote the foreword. It will be available at locations such as the Menil Collection and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
