other · 2026-07-01

Delkin's new Valor Pro 1TB CFexpress Type B memory card (DCBVP1T) was tested by PetaPixel in a sponsored Showcase. The card, assembled in the USA, costs $590 and claims VPG800 certification, sustained write of 1,840 MB/s, and peak speeds of 3,700 MB/s read and 2,800 MB/s write. In Blackmagic Disk Speed tests, sustained write reached 1,717.8 MB/s and read 2,951.9 MB/s, holding steady when full and after emptying. Crystal Disk Mark showed peak sequential speeds of 1,764.53 MB/s write and 3,369.04 MB/s read. In a Canon R6V recording 7K Open Gate RAW, the card filled without thermal issues or dropped frames. No current camera supports CFexpress 4.0, but the card is backward compatible and future-proof.
