DeepSeek plans to double workforce in AGI hiring push

Chinese AI firm DeepSeek announced a major hiring spree on Thursday, aiming to at least double the size of every department. The company is recruiting for 33 positions across seven categories, including full-stack development, algorithms, AI core system R&D, deep learning research, and model data strategy. DeepSeek stated it wants newcomers to take on core tasks directly and grow into top talent, becoming a driving force behind artificial general intelligence (AGI). The firm declared that humanity stands on the eve of AGI and invited applicants to witness the birth of a new epoch. Key openings include server-side development engineer, pre-training data engineer, supercomputing cluster R&D engineer, and specialized-domain data product managers for non-English languages, medicine, and law. DeepSeek emphasized it never sought geniuses but welcomes anyone with a spark of talent.
