Davide Bramante's Exhibition 'Pupidda Mia' Merges Sicilian Heritage with Contemporary Naples

Davide Bramante's solo exhibition 'Pupidda Mia' is currently on view at the Jus Museum within Palazzo Calabritto in Naples, running until April 20. Notable photographic works include 'Napoli (Blu e verde),' which transforms Piazza del Plebiscito into a fluid, dreamlike apparition where architectural elements dissolve into cobalt blue and emerald tones. Another piece, 'Napoli (Gennarì grazie),' pays visual homage to the city through layered lights and cultural references. The sculptural component features terracotta works inspired by Sicilian puppets, with 'Ritrovamenti ritrovati' presenting a stratified clay sculpture where alternating red clay and white deposits mark temporal passage. 'Pupiddu guarda Medardo Rosso' engages with art historical dialogue through impressionistic light treatment. The installation 'Pupi e pupidde (Sicily)' arranges glazed terracotta figures to outline Sicily's geographical shape, creating a vibrant chromatic composition.
