Cyril Mokaiesh Releases New Album 'Bonne chance pour la suite' After 15 Years

Franco-Lebanese singer Cyril Mokaiesh has released a new album titled 'Bonne chance pour la suite,' marking his first major work in fifteen years since 'Communiste.' The album represents a return to essentials following a year of personal doubts and questioning. Mokaiesh continues his distinctive artistic path, blending clear-eyed engagement with romanticism. His recent book 'Regarder passer les trains' accompanies the album, offering unfiltered perspectives on a certainty-saturated era while maintaining belief in language and emotional impulses. Mokaiesh appeared as a guest on RFI's program hosted by Chantal Lorho. The same broadcast featured a segment about pioneering artist Werewere Liking, born in Cameroon and based in Côte d'Ivoire, who created a unique form of ritual theater and founded the Ki-Yi M'Bock artistic village in Abidjan. The program included a playlist of Mokaiesh's songs performed live on RFI: 'Écrire,' 'Le chant du migrant,' 'La vérité des baisers,' and 'On a besoin d'amour.'
