Crafts on Peel Presents Collaborative Chinese Craft Exhibition at London Craft Week 2026

During London Craft Week, from May 11th to 17th, 2026, Crafts on Peel will host 'Creative Cross-Pollination: The Future of Crafts' at the Royal Society of Sculptors. This engaging exhibition showcases a collaboration between master artisans from Greater China and modern designers, who reinterpret age-old techniques. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with pieces that incorporate Guangzhou embroidery, filigree, gold gilding, bamboo construction, and galvanised ironwork. Notable partnerships include Wang Xinyuan with Elaine Yan Ling Ng, Anson Lai with Cheung Lee Wood Carving and Gilding Works Co., Huimin Zhang with Peter Ng, Naam Yu with Michael Yu, and Inkgo Lam's bamboo Big Ben. Founder Yama Chan highlights the importance of mastery through exchange, with techniques such as gold gilding and digital fabrication on display. Many participants were involved via the Jockey Club ICH+ Innovative Heritage Education Programme.
