Courtney Hicks Appointed to Lead Library Services at The Ringling Museum

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art has named Courtney Hicks as the new Head of Ringling Art Library Services. In this capacity, Hicks will manage the institution's extensive art library, which holds the largest such collection in the southeastern United States. Her responsibilities include facilitating curatorial research initiatives and supervising the preservation and restoration of rare volumes, including those from John Ringling's personal art book holdings. Additionally, she will organize the museum's monthly Literati Book Club. Steven High, The Ringling's Executive Director, expressed enthusiasm about Hicks joining the team, noting her extensive background in collection-focused research, exhibition development, and public programming. He anticipates collaborating with her to enhance the accessibility and influence of the library's resources for both staff and visitors.
