Cory Infinite wraps Adidas sneakers in recycled Ethernet cables for Teezo Touchdown
In a unique collaboration with Adidas Originals, American artist Cory Infinite has designed a custom pair of Adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 sneakers for musician Teezo Touchdown. Crafted in Kansas City, these distinctive shoes feature around 170 recycled Ethernet cables each, secured with zip ties. The upper showcases a pixelated texture created by transparent RJ45 connectors, while blue cables highlight Adidas' iconic three-stripe design on the sides. The laces are adorned with keyboard keys that spell out the names of both Cory Infinite and Teezo Touchdown. Inspired by the global nature of football (soccer), these sneakers were made for the World Cup. A process film capturing the project’s journey from idea to completion has been produced by Adidas Originals, with photography by Evan Reese Johnson.
