Coral Swing Installation by XBTW OFFICE on Yantai Coast

Architecture firm XBTW OFFICE has completed 'Coral', a swing installation located at the northwest corner of West Park in Longfor Puti Coast, Yantai, China. The project, curated by Han Shuang, spans 36 square meters and was completed in 2026. Principal architects Boxia Wang and Teng Xing led the design, with Liaoning Lumei Yanyuan Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. serving as general contractor and Shanghai Leqiu Playground Equipment Co., Ltd. as structural engineer. Photographs were taken by Yumeng Zhu and DONG Image. The installation faces tidal flats and the sea, with the site's character shaped by daily tides, sea breezes, and sunsets.
