Colorlib Rebuilds Minimalist WordPress Theme List for 2026, Cutting 33 Down to 30

In September 2026, Colorlib released an updated compilation of 30 minimalist WordPress themes, a decrease from the previous count of 33. The themes that were removed had not seen updates for several years. The themes that remain have all been verified for recent updates, functional demos, and a minimalist aesthetic. Leading the portfolio section are Kalium and Uncode, while Savoy is recognized as the top choice for shops. Schematic excels for magazines, and Twenty Twenty-Five is highlighted as the best free theme. For free portfolios, Minimalio stands out, and Philosophy is noted as the best free blogging theme. Colorlib currently offers five free themes, all refreshed in September 2026, including significant updates to Activello on 17 September 2026 and Blaskan (3.1). Paid options include Kalium, Uncode, Ohio, Kleanity, Savoy, Stockholm, and Merchandiser, alongside free themes like Twenty Twenty-Five.
