Colorlib Ranks 8 Free Event WordPress Themes for Conferences and Festivals in 2026
In a 2026 review, Colorlib evaluated both free and premium WordPress themes suitable for conferences and festivals, testing eight free and four paid themes. Each theme was installed on a fresh WordPress site and assessed using Google Lighthouse on mobile devices. The Events starter from Kadence emerged as the most comprehensive free option, while Astra's Conference Event was recognized for its speed. Neve's New Festival serves as an authentic template for music festivals. Among the free themes, RaraTheme's Conference stands out as the sole option tailored for conferences, albeit the heaviest. The paid selections include Exhibz, Event Champ, Grand Conference, and Divi's free Conference Event layout pack. The guide recommends prioritizing the schedule page, ensuring compatibility with ticketing plugins, and preparing for spikes in ticket releases.
