Colnaghi spotlights six works from wine-themed London exhibition

Colnaghi is showcasing six pieces at its London exhibition titled 'In Vino Veritas: The Visual Rhetoric of Wine,' which delves into the visual aspects of wine, social drinking, and still life throughout history. The exhibition runs until July 31, 2026, and features a collection of antiquities and paintings that illustrate the influence of wine and its associated rituals on artistic creation, social interactions, and cultural symbolism from the Bronze Age to the early modern era. Included in the selection are five antiquities, each valued at under £25,000, along with a still life painting from Spain. The display begins with two Mycenaean kylikes dating back to the 14th century B.C.
