CNEAI's Maison Fleuve: A New Creative Hub in Île-Saint-Denis
After two years of operating in a nomadic fashion, the Centre national édition art image (CNEAI) is set to open its new facility, Maison Fleuve, located in the former Olympic Village of L'Île-Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis. This initiative, which began in 2023 through collaboration between the City of L'Île-Saint-Denis and developer Legendre, encompasses a 1,500 m² structure crafted by architect Farid Azib. CNEAI intends to transition from the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris to Maison Fleuve by 2026, following a move in summer 2024. The center will feature a 250 m² exhibition area, workshops, and shared workspaces, with public access available for an annual fee of €70. Two inaugural exhibitions are scheduled for late September, and by autumn 2026, a cooperative governance model will be implemented alongside new satellite programs.
