Cleveland Museum of Art launches 'Lake Effect' juried exhibition at Transformer Station

The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) is set to showcase 'Lake Effect: Artists from Cleveland Now,' a juried exhibition that honors the artistic heritage of the region and highlights the museum's significance as a center for inspiration and exploration. This complimentary exhibition will be open from July 9 to December 6, 2026, at Transformer Station, located at 1460 West 29th Street in Cleveland's Hingetown area. CMA called for submissions from artists in the greater Cleveland region, receiving an impressive 1,700 entries from 950 artists, as noted by contemporary art curator Nadiah Rivera Fellah. The exhibition pays tribute to the artists, audiences, and creative communities that have influenced CMA's history while anticipating its future.
