Clemens Christian Poetzsch Releases Sixth Solo Album 'Nocturnes' on Neue Meister

publication · 2026-10-01

Clemens Christian Poetzsch, a pianist from Leipzig, has unveiled his sixth solo album titled 'Nocturnes' under the Neue Meister label. This album comprises eleven piano miniatures, each named after cities where Poetzsch has performed, capturing moments following his concerts. The opening piece evokes an evening in Porto. Trained at Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber, Poetzsch characterizes his music as 'Impressionism with jazz attitude.' Unlike his earlier works, 'Nocturnes' was recorded on his personal piano in his studio, fostering spontaneous creativity. It features selected tracks with analog synthesizers and a Wurlitzer piano. The album is available on both CD and vinyl. Upcoming performances are scheduled for October 8 in Chemnitz, November 8 in Zollbrücke, November 13 in Rathenow, and November 22 in Dresden.
