The pop group Cigarettes After Sex has selected a photograph by Belgian artist Kirsten Thys van den Audenaerde for the cover of their latest single, 'Twizzler.' Titled Styrofoam (2021), the artwork features a figure in fishnet tights relaxing on a couch. This image has attracted significant attention online due to its surreal and sexually suggestive nature. In a conversation with her gallery, Instantdreams, van den Audenaerde shared that the photograph was captured spontaneously during a session with her longtime muse, Rosemary, at the model's residence. The artist was particularly inspired by the interplay of the sofa, sheepskin throw, hanging lamp, and the fishnet tights. This collaboration allows van den Audenaerde's art to reach a wider audience through the band's platform.
