Chuck Yeager's 1946 Test Flight Archive at Heritage Arms & Armor Auction

Heritage Auctions will offer the personal archive of Chuck Yeager from his 1946 test pilot training at Wright Field, Ohio, in its June 8 Arms & Armor Auction. The collection documents Yeager's early career at the Army Air Forces' Flight Performance School, a year and a half before he broke the sound barrier. Items include technical reports, flight logs, and photographs that highlight his skills as both a pilot and a meticulous documenter of aircraft performance. Yeager, a WWII flying ace, was selected for his exceptional eyesight, nerve, and technical expertise.
