Christophe Delcourt's 'Zaho' table for Baxter features book-like unfolding legs showcasing Grove marble

Christophe Delcourt, a French designer, has introduced the 'Zaho' table for Baxter, a name derived from the Arabic term for 'splendour.' This innovative design showcases legs that unfold like a book's pages, each angle revealing distinct marble patterns. The primary material is Grove marble, characterized by warm brown and ochre hues interspersed with dark veins reminiscent of tobacco leaves or ancient tree trunks. White and ivory patches on the stone evoke images of lichen or snow blanketing forest floors. The panels are arranged in a corolla shape, creating a millefeuille-like architecture with a blend of sharp and soft lines. A waterproof oil coating enhances durability for lengthy dinner gatherings. Alternative options include White Travertino and Bianco Gioia marble. Delcourt also designed the 'Lana' table series for Baxter, featuring matte Wildflower beige marble from Sicily.
