Christine Crame Brindza Appointed Curator of American Art at SAMA

Starting July 27, Christine Crame Brindza, PhD, will take on the role of Marie and Hugh Halff, Jr. Curator of American Art at the San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA). She succeeds Regina Palm, who held the position from 2022 to 2024. In her new role, Brindza will oversee the American art collection, which covers works from the colonial period through the mid-20th century, as well as the Texas and European collections. With over two decades of experience, she was formerly the Senior Curator at the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block. Brindza, who holds a PhD from the University of Arizona, has led projects like 'The West Multiplied' (2025) and 'Divergence of Legacy' (2024-2025). SAMA’s Director, Emily B. Neff, praised her collaborative approach.
