Christie's to Sell Lindsay Collection Across Six Sales

Christie's will offer works from The Hon. Patrick and Lady Amabel Lindsay's collection across six specialist sales from June to October. Five Old Master paintings and two Italian illuminations go under the hammer on 30 June, 1 and 8 July during Classic Week London. A major Rodin bronze and Modern British works follow in the autumn sales on 20/21 October. The pieces were displayed at the Lindsays' home at 12 Lansdowne Road. Orlando Rock, Chairman of Christie's UK, called Patrick and Amabel Lindsay 'towering figures' in Christie's history, noting Patrick's expertise in Old Masters and his flamboyant style.
