Christie's London to Auction Final Flacks Family Collection of Chinese Furniture and Ink Painting in May 2026

Christie's London will present The Flacks Family Collection II: Curtain Call auction on 12 May 2026, featuring 50 lots of Chinese furniture, scholar's objects, and contemporary Chinese ink painting. This sale represents the final chapter of collectors Marcus and Debby Flacks' three-decade career in the field, marking their retirement. A highlight is a rare late 16th-17th century huanghuali table, estimated at £700,000-900,000, noted for its sophisticated construction and innovative design using prized materials. The collection showcases exceptional pieces the Flacks have handled, studied, restored, and lived with throughout their careers. A public exhibition will be held at Christie's London headquarters from 7 to 11 May 2026, open to all.
