exhibition · 2026-09-03

Chiquita Room, a gallery located in Barcelona, is set to launch a new space in Brussels at Galeries Le Bailli Louise, with its doors opening on September 10 during RendezVous – Brussels Art Week. This venue is historically notable for featuring avant-garde galleries from 1972 to 1975. The opening exhibition, titled 'Once We Existed,' will showcase the works of Dutch artist Pieter Laurens Mol (b. 1946) alongside Spanish artist Laía Argüelles Folch (b. 1986), both of whom delve into concepts of memory and temporality. Mol's works have been displayed at MoMA New York and the Van Gogh Museum, while Argüelles Folch is known for her publication 'Breve ensayo sobre la carta.' Since 2018, Chiquita Room has curated over fifty exhibitions and will also take part in Art on Paper in October with a solo presentation by Mol.
