Chef DeVonn Francis to Open Symone Café at MoMA PS1 This Fall

This fall, MoMA PS1 is set to launch Symone, a café created by chef DeVonn Francis. This establishment, which draws inspiration from seasonal ingredients and French-African culinary traditions, represents Francis's inaugural restaurant venture. Prior to the official opening in early October, Francis will showcase a selection of dishes at Printed Matter's NY Art Book Fair, taking place from September 24 to 27, 2026. Symone will be open to the public during museum hours, with MoMA PS1 offering free admission, inviting both visitors and locals. The café's menu will feature coastal flavors rooted in French-African cuisine, reflecting Francis's Jamaican and Caribbean background.
