Centre Culturel Suisse Reopens in Paris After Four-Year Renovation with New Exhibitions and Events

The Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris reopened on March 26, 2026, following a four-year renovation project. Located at 38 Rue des Francs Bourgeois in the Marais district, the cultural center unveiled redesigned spaces by the Franco-Swiss architectural team of ASBR and Truwant+Rodet+. The reopening celebration spanned three days from March 26 to 28, featuring events like concerts by Bongo Joe Records and contemporary dance performances by choreographer Edouard Hue. Three new exhibitions highlight artists from different generations: Mai-Thu Perret presents 'Othermothers' with sculptural pieces and a sound installation collaboration with Tamara Barnett-Herrin, Ingeborg Lüscher showcases 'Flammes' with works involving fire, and Akosua Viktoria Adu-Sanyah explores photography and AI. The programming extends through July 2026, including six theatrical productions directed by Anna Lemonaki, Philippe Saire, Cédric Djedje, Fabrice Gorgerat, Elina Kulikova, and Louis Bonard, plus music festivals Purple Music on April 9-10 and Allover from June 11-13. The renovation introduced flexible rooms, improved circulation, and a new buvette in a vegetated courtyard, alongside an existing bookstore. Admission to exhibitions is free, and the center is near the Musée Carnavalet.
