Center for Creative Photography Acquires Nine Major Photography Archives
The Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona has enhanced its collection by acquiring the archives of nine distinguished photographers, including Laura Aguilar and Jack Dykinga. This acquisition broadens the center's existing holdings, which feature renowned figures like Ansel Adams. Todd J. Tubutis, the CCP Director, reported that the archives encompass a variety of materials such as photographs, letters, and notebooks that illustrate the artists' journeys. Chief Curator Rebecca Senf emphasized the organization's commitment to supporting artists. This development comes after the addition of David Hume Kennerly's Pulitzer Prize-winning archive in 2019.
