Castello di Rivoli Museum Expands Permanent Collection with Two Aki Inomata Sculptures

The Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea has added two wooden sculptures by Japanese artist Aki Inomata to its permanent holdings. The works, created in 2018 and 2020, were donated by entrepreneur Hiroyuki Maki through his anonymous art project philanthropic program. These pieces explore connections between nature and technology, specifically examining Eurasian beaver behavior. The sculptures are part of the exhibition 'Mutual Aid. Arte in collaborazione con la natura' running from October 31, 2024 to March 23, 2025 in the museum's Manica Lunga space. Inomata's practice focuses on collaborative creation with various species, investigating relationships between animals and humans.
