Castello di Rivoli Announces Arte Povera Reinstallation and Giorgio Griffa Tribute for 2026

Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea in Rivoli-Torino is planning a major reinstallation of its permanent collection focused on Arte Povera, to be completed in phases by late 2026. The project will feature monographic rooms dedicated to pioneers of the movement and historically significant works. Additional spring 2026 reinstallations will include Italian artists Gino de Dominicis, Emilio Vedova, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Marisa Merz, and a first-time display of Piero Gilardi's 2005 work 'Sulla riva del lago,' recently donated to the museum. Concurrently, the museum is presenting 'Giorgio Griffa: 90,' a tribute exhibition marking the artist's 90th birthday, showcasing works from the 1970s to present alongside documentary materials from his studio, organized in collaboration with Fondazione Giorgio Griffa. A separate archival exhibition, 'Nanda Lanfranco. Ritratti d'artista,' highlights over 30 original black-and-white prints from the photographer's archive, established in 2025, featuring portraits of artists who have exhibited at the museum.
