Casa Luz Oaxaca: Architectural Intervention by T804 Arquitectura e Interiorismo Estratégico
Casa Luz represents an architectural and interior design intervention in an existing residence located in Oaxaca. The project, completed in 2025, covers 235 square meters and was led by architects Samantha Betancourt and Carlos Canseco. Design team members included Yamil Caballero and Suylen Crespo, with technical contributions from Domingo Rojas, Nicolás Cruz, and Giovanni Antonio. Electrical engineering was handled by Arq-lux sa de cv, while structural engineering was overseen by Ing. Miguel Ángel Torres. Photography for the project was captured by Amy Bello. Materials and products were supplied by Comex, Grupo Arkos México, Ilumileds, and Tecnolite. The intervention explores contemporary habitation through local context without resorting to nostalgic or literal gestures. Sensitive reading of the environment informs the design, where materiality, light, and artisanal craftsmanship serve as primary expressive means. The project was curated by Valentina Díaz and is situated in San Agustín Yatareni.
