Casa Corten Residential Project by atelier HPA in Portugal

Casa Corten, a residential architecture project designed by atelier HPA, was completed in 2025 in Celorico de Basto, Portugal. The project responds to its site, formerly a ruined wood factory, by incorporating fragmented volumes that adapt to the terrain's topography. Key features include green roofs, Corten steel cladding, extensive glazing for natural light, and sustainable systems like rainwater collection and photovoltaic panels. The design emphasizes integration with the landscape, with interior spaces organized across two levels: four suites on the lower floor and social areas above. Photography was handled by Ivo Tavares Studio, with Hugo Pereira as the lead architect.
