Carole Boinet Publishes 40-Year History of Les Inrockuptibles with GM Éditions

publication · 2026-09-24

Carole Boinet, editorial director of the monthly magazine Les Inrockuptibles, has authored an anniversary book titled «Les Inrockuptibles – 40 ans d'une autre culture», published by GM Éditions. The volume marks four decades of the French cultural magazine, which was founded in 1986 and has chronicled music, cinema, literature and artists across shifting eras and cultural revolutions. For the first time, the publication has opened its archives for the project, which gathers cult interviews, forgotten gems and intimate memories. The book was released in conjunction with Boinet's appearance on RFI's cultural guest podcast, published on 23 September 2026. The anniversary publication positions the magazine's own history as a record of French cultural life since the mid-1980s.
