Capitolium Art auction spans a century of design from Reinstein to Sottsass

On July 8, 2026, Capitolium Art will auction a selection of design objects and furniture spanning over seventy years, from early 20th-century Central European design to Italian postmodernism of the 1980s. Estimates range from €800 to €6,000, targeting both collectors and newcomers. The auction features a rare 1908 sitting room set by Hans Gunther Reinstein (estimated €4,000–6,000), a Gio Ponti vase executed by Nino Ferrari around 1936 (€2,000–3,000), a pair of Barovier & Toso wall lamps from the late 1930s (€2,000–3,000), an Angelo Lelii table lamp for Arredoluce from 1952 (€1,800–2,400), Danish Horsnaes Moebler armchairs (€2,000–3,000), a Ettore Sottsass Limante table lamp for Visotsi (€3,000–4,000), Angelo Mangiarotti alabaster vases (€1,800–2,400), and a Carlo Bartoli and Lucio Del Pezzo Intarsi chest of drawers (€2,500–3,500).
