Canadian Video Game Museum to Open Pop-Up at Museum of Vancouver

The Canadian Video Game Museum (CVGM) will open a temporary exhibition, Press Start: A Vancouver Game History Pop-Up, at the Museum of Vancouver (MOV) from July 9, 2026 through Fall 2026. The show explores Vancouver's contributions to gaming, including mobile games like Marvel Contest of Champions, blockbusters from Electronic Arts and Microsoft, and indie titles such as Celeste and Darkest Dungeon. Visitors can interact with retro gaming hardware connected to Vancouver. The exhibition highlights Vancouver's role in Nintendo establishing its North American headquarters and a Burnaby-based manufacturer of video game controllers from the late '80s and early '90s.
