Campus Versailles Expands: 4,000 m² New Wing in Château's Great Stables by 2027
Founded in 2021 by three French ministries alongside two institutions—the Château de Versailles and CY Cergy Paris Université—the Campus Versailles is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting French craftsmanship. A €14 million investment will facilitate an expansion of 3,000 m², eventually reaching 4,000 m², in the Great Stables by early 2027. Director Armelle Weisman emphasizes its multifaceted nature as a university, workshop, and laboratory, providing training in métiers d'art, heritage, horticulture, gastronomy, and tourism. Offerings include the Prépa Métiers d'Art d'Excellence, a CAP in guitar restoration, and courses in leatherworking and cabinetmaking. The new addition will house a student-operated restaurant, fresh workshops, and an artisan incubator, with the Fairespectives festival set for March 2027 to celebrate the opening.
