Byborre and Form Us With Love launch IRIS textile collection at Stockholm's Testing Grounds Showroom
Dutch textile company Byborre and Stockholm-based design studio Form Us With Love have collaborated on IRIS, a textile collection presented at the Testing Grounds Showroom in Stockholm. Byborre's Knit System enables textiles to be engineered from yarn to final application, eliminating pre-produced stock and waste from roll-based cutting. Each material is produced only when needed and accompanied by a Textile Passport documenting the supply chain. The IRIS textiles feature micro-patterned knitted structures that create optical colour blending while ensuring durability for contract and interior use. Colour is treated as a functional layer with a controlled architectural palette designed for longevity. The collection includes 27 colours and has been applied to the Spine seating system designed by Form Us With Love in collaboration with Savo. The Testing Grounds program hosted talks, events, and workshops over four months exploring physical environments in a digital industry. Both companies advocate designing based on real needs and long-term impact rather than overconsumption.
