Bummy Edizioni Launches 'Fiabe d'Arte' Series Merging Fairy Tales with Art History

publication · 2026-04-07

Bummy Edizioni, a Rome-based publisher, has launched a new book series called 'Fiabe d'Arte' that blends fairy tales with art history. The inaugural title, 'Gli stivali di Vincent,' features the Puss in Boots character interacting with Vincent van Gogh in his starry night setting. Writer Beniamino Sidoti and author-illustrator Ericavale Morello created the work, which reimagines van Gogh's life through a fantastical narrative. The series aims to connect artistic heritage with storytelling traditions for both children and adult readers. Publisher Gioia Suriano describes the collection as creating dialogue between narrative imagination and artistic patrimony. A second volume is scheduled for release in 2027, featuring another prominent children's literature author alongside Morello. Each book is designed to inspire artistic workshops and writing activities related to fairy tales and painting.
